The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority is seeking a Legal Intern to assist attorneys in the Legal Division. This is a part-time position.
DUTIES: Under the supervision of GCRTA attorneys, the Legal Intern will assist in legal research, the preparation of pleadings, motions, briefs, court filing, and other matters that may be required. Areas of concentration include labor and administrative law, contracts and real estate, litigation, and public sector legal issues.
REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must have completed the first year of law school. Legal Intern Certification from the Ohio Supreme Court, preferred. Experience in computerized legal research (i.e. Lexis) required. Applicants must submit a resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcript. Writing sample may be requested.
WAGE RATE: $15.00 per hour

Manager of User Support
Grade 28
DUTIES: Responsible for providing IT users with desktop equipment and support, determining user needs and incorporating them into the design and overall plan for desktop support. Defines service levels, service agreements and manages the help desk operation. Establishes processes to identify, track, escalate, resolve and report user problems. The range of accountabilities minimally covers hardware and software planning, vendor selection, acquisitions, Tier 2 problem resolution, set-up, integration, testing and installation. Oversees the maintenance and support of applications for the Authority's Internet/Intranet sites. Monitors and analyzes performance metrics, sharing results with users. Organizes and coordinates the activities associated with installation, deployment and upgrade of software, hardware and network facilities as it relates to the desktop environment. Desktop applications may include productivity tools, e-mail, and applications that are used by groups without programming customization. Evaluates and provides techniques for increasing user desktop productivity.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field. Applicants must have five (5) years experience in Information Technology. Applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience. Applicants must have good analytical and report writing skills. Applicants must also have excellent written and oral communication skills. Applicants should also be up to date with information related to computer programming and network systems.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $58.747 to $77,840 annually.

District Business Analyst
Job Summary: Manages and administers the District’s analytical and managerial applications and functions in concert with the District’s Maintenance Planning/Scheduling and Material Planners, and Authority Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Safety, Audit, and Information Technology personnel, and external oversight entities. Leads the District’s performance management, monitoring, and reporting activities. Designs and/or reviews managerial reports generated from the GCRTA information technology and oversight applications. Analyzes the district’s performance, efficiency and quality of operation and reports results to the District Director. Fills-in for District Managers as necessary (transportation, facilities, equipment, and other organizational units). Manages, coordinates and administers all District system applications. Develops, reviews and distributes the District’s and other Authority output reports for timely resolution of staffing, service provisioning and District work programs and functions. Analyzes all system functions. Assists with preparing and monitoring District budgets and assures that projects/programs affecting the District meet operational needs and requirements. Is responsible for accurate staff time reporting. Is the District liaison for payroll issues. Ensures the timely and accurate electronic transfer of the District’s payroll as required. Schedules, monitors and assures that training is acquired for all District staff for work program and information technology applications and functions. Works in concert with Service Management, Fleet Management and Information Systems (IS) personnel in the development of software upgrades, modifications and changes to systems that affect District operations. Works in cooperation with the Training Department to ensure that the District’s training needs are met. Is a Super-user of district level information technology applications and assists in matters concerning those applications. Is a member of project teams during the development and initiation of software/hardware revisions. Performs duties of a similar nature as directed by the District Director.
Minimum Requirements: Applicants must have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Operations Management, Financial Analysis, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher is required. Applicants must have 1-3 previous work experience in business management, information systems, (e.g., auditing, operations analysis, report writing, budget/financial analysis, process improvement, etc.), or related areas.
SALARY RANGE: $44,175 - $58,533 annually.
